Inspirational Programs
A typical INSPIRATIONAL PROGRAM will last between 50-60 minutes and is perfect for an "alternative" worship service in churches with a more flexible worship regime. This program is also very well suited for a club, organization, fellowship group etc. looking for a presentation with a Christian theme.
All programs are different and specifically tailored to the group he is presenting to. Larry likes to coordinate his efforts with the Pastor and/or organizer of the program ahead of time in order to choose material that will be relevant and appropriate to the occasion.
INSPIRATIONAL PROGRAMS are "Songs and Stories" that witness to God's love for ALL of His creation.
An INSPIRATIONAL PROGRAM can be held both as a stand-alone event or in conjunction with a CONCERT and/or WORKSHOP.
Inspirational Workshops
Larry loves doing INSPIRATIONAL WORKSHOPS. The atmosphere is informal in nature. Workshops of this kind are ALL different depending on who he is playing to and what he is playing for. Larry likes to work hand in hand with the organizer in order to come up with a workshop that will be specifically suited to his audience or congregation.
Generally speaking, (and this is the fun part for both Larry and his listeners) Larry will perform his music as usual but either before, after, or even sometimes during the song, Larry will engage the listeners into a conversation about the "meaning(s)" of a particular song or line. Sometimes he will share why he wrote or chose a particular song, but many times he will just let the listeners give their own interpretations.
These workshops are not only fun and enlightening for the listeners, but also very rewarding for the performer. Larry never fails to relate how God has played a major role in each offering and how it has "guided" him to a "closer walk" in his own life.
An INSPIRATIONAL WORKSHOP can be held both as a stand-alone event or in conjunction with a CONCERT and/or INSPIRATIONAL PROGRAM. Most workshops last between one and two hours.
Concerts
A CONCERT is a CONCERT!
Larry will present a program of music consisting of originals and "cover" (songs by other artists) material. Every CONCERT is different and is suited to each specific audience (congregation).
During a typical concert you can expect to hear songs that make you think, feel, laugh and sometimes even cry. Larry’s "message" is intended to put you in touch with the Spirit of God that resides in you.
The music styles that are representative of Larry Rossi cover the gamut of pop, folk, jazz, classical, country, rock, blues and even a "novelty" song or two. The one consistent element of all the music he performs, whether it is one of his own or a song by the Beatles, is that every song has integrity and speaks to every person's higher calling.
A CONCERT can be held both as a stand-alone event or in conjunction with an INSPIRATIONAL or MUSIC WORKSHOP (PROGRAM). Most CONCERTS are two full (50 minute) sets of music with an intermission in between.
Music Workshops
Larry Rossi is a seasoned director and music educator. Having taught in both public and private schools as well as church ministry for the past 40 years, Larry has a special gift when it comes to bringing out the best in a group of "eager to learn" musicians. The focus of the workshop will be on solid musicianship and fundamentals along with developing a good Christian "heart" as it relates to the music, the performers, and the audience or congregation.
He will work right along with your current director reinforcing principles already being taught, while bringing some new ideas to your program that will encourage all to stretch their abilities to their fullest potential. If you do not currently have a music person on staff, a session or two with Larry will prove to be very helpful and encouraging with regard to hiring the right person for your situation.
Mr. Rossi is very comfortable teaching band, choir, praise band/arranging and songwriting. He also has a great affection for bell choirs just starting out.
A MUSIC WORKSHOP can be held both as a stand-alone event or in conjunction with a CONCERT and/or INSPIRATIONAL PROGRAM/WORKSHOP. Most music workshops last between one and two hours.
House Concerts/Programs/Workshops
One of the NEWEST and most intimate offerings is a HOUSE Concert, Program or Workshop. The format, as far as content is concerned, is the same as the above mentioned offerings only the venue is your own HOUSE!
A typical HOUSE "event" can take place in your living room, family room, apartment etc. and is held by YOU for guests that you personally invite! Most hosts can typically accommodate 20-25 guests.
Depending on the size of your "room" Larry will make his presentation acoustically (unplugged) or with a small PA system.
Most HOUSE "events" will last between one and two hours. These events are very easy to host especially with our "template" for success and will be talked about by your guests for months. It is an easy and unique way for you to offer something very valuable to your friends and relatives.
